Our church family will have a part in the giant “100 Mile Garage Sale” taking place on Friday and Saturday, May 1-2. We will also have our scrumptious Bake Sale on those days. For the garage sale, you may bring your donated items in boxes to the church, and place them in the far back room of the FLC (that was the exercise room.) The last day to bring Garage Sale donations is Wednesday, April 29. Lola will call to set up donations of baked items, but if she doesn’t call you, it doesn’t mean we don’t need something for the sale. Please bring all baked goods to the Family Life Center on Thursday afternoon. Please consider what times you can help to put out items and price them, to work at the sale (bake sale, too), and to help clean up the FLC at the end of the sale. A sign-up sheet will be offered in the foyer of the church. If you have questions, please call Cyndy at the church.
We are having a pot luck lunch after service, Sunday February 8th.
These classes/groups are filling right now, and will start soon. Please call the office if you are interested in attending.

Please prayerfully consider where you are called to ministry in the body of Christ.
We have many opportunities at our church, both within our walls and within our community, where your gifts and talents would be such a blessing to others. We need a Librarian, and an Historian; we need team members for various committees and teams; we need faithful workers for the youth and children’s programs; we need teachers to share their talents with willing learners; we need good listeners for calling the sick and homebound. Please pray about how you could help, engaging people at the point of their need, to make a difference in their lives.

Everyone or almost everyone has heard about the hacking, spam attacks, denial of service attacks etc. Believe it or not our Church web site is being attacked with attempts to break in and do whatever it is the bad guys want to do. We have taken precautions, including disabling the common and default User accounts and using passwords that are virtually impossible to crack.
If the attacks continue I will take another step, mainly because I am tired of all the email notifications that someone has tried and failed to get into the administrative sections. My next step will be to deny connectivity from ALL of the known internet addresses in China, Russia, Ukraine, etc. which is where 99% of these attacks are originating from. Yes I do have that list, it is public information if you know where to look.
Please remember that this Sunday we will have the “Hanging of the Greens” service, and we will combine both services into one, at 10:15 a.m. in the Sanctuary.
Bring your friends and loved ones to this very meaningful service.

Dear Church Family,
Services for Bill Fusselman will be held next Monday, December 1, 2014, at 10 a.m., here at the church. A meal for the family will follow in the Family Life Center.
Love and blessings,
The Community Ladies’ Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at the Activity Building of 1st Baptist Church, on November 4th, at 6:45 p.m. We will honor Pam Rowley, as our Pastor’s wife, at the dinner.
Garage Sale is this week! Please bring your donations to the Family Life Center before Thursday, and then come to help set up the sale on Thursday, or work the sale on Friday and/or Saturday, and tear it down on Saturday afternoon. We’ll also have a bake sale on that day, so please bake something nice to bring on Thursday, so we can sell it on Friday or Saturday.
